How this calculator works
Choose an amount and a pair: USD, BTC or ETH. The converter uses USD prices as a common reference, allowing Bitcoin-to-dollar, Ethereum-to-dollar and Bitcoin-to-Ethereum conversions.
CoinGecko provides the price snapshot. The fetch time appears below the result; prices can change before a trade completes. Results exclude exchange fees, spreads and blockchain transaction costs. Retry prices fetches a new snapshot.
The formula is amount × source USD price ÷ target USD price. USD has a reference price of 1. For example, at an illustrative Bitcoin price of $50,000, $500 equals 0.01 BTC before fees. This example is not a current quote.

Can I convert Bitcoin directly to Ethereum?
Yes. Select BTC as the source and ETH as the target. The conversion uses their respective USD price snapshots.
Is the amount an executable exchange quote?
No. It is an estimate from a price data provider. Your exchange may offer a different rate and charge fees.
