Auto Loan Calculator

Enter the vehicle price, down payment, interest rate and loan term to see your estimated monthly payment and total interest paid over the life of the loan.

How to use the auto loan payment calculator

Enter vehicle price, down payment, annual percentage rate and loan term. The loan principal is price minus down payment. The calculator estimates a fixed monthly payment, total interest and total payments using monthly amortization.

Car payment example

For a $30,000 car, a $6,000 down payment, 6% APR and 60 monthly payments, the financed amount is $24,000. The estimated monthly payment is $463.99. The calculation uses full precision internally, so totals may differ slightly from multiplying the rounded displayed payment.

Auto loan calculator questions

Does it support 0% APR?

Yes. At zero APR, monthly payment equals the financed amount divided by the number of payments. A $24,000 loan over 60 months is $400 per month.

Are taxes and fees included?

They are not added automatically. Include financed taxes and fees in the price you enter if you want them included in the principal.

Does this calculator provide a loan offer?

No. It calculates an estimate from your inputs. A lender's actual terms and repayment schedule may differ.
